Adult and continuing education
Adult education qualifications are available at levels corresponding to those of the ordinary higher education system.
The universities’ continuing and further education programmes are professionally-oriented, research-based programmes targeted at adults. The programmes are typically part-time programmes, enabling students to receive supplementary education or training while holding a job.
Master programmes (second cycle degrees)
The universities offer masteruddannelse (Master programmes), among other things. The Master programmes form part of the further adult education system and are approved by the Accreditation Agency (ACE).
The Master degree is awarded after studies at second cycle level. The programmes normally consist of two years of part-time study, equivalent to one year of full-time study (60 ECTS credits). Admission requirements are a relevant educational qualification and at least two years of relevant work experience.
The Master programmes are partially subsidised by the Danish state and partially fee-based.
The universities also offer continuing and further education as self-financing activities. Such programmes are completely fee-based.
